KATHMANDU: After the ordinances brought by the Maoist-led government faced flak, political parties including opposition Nepali Congress and a member of the coalition government, CPN (UML), have decided to call a special session of the House. The decision was made at a meeting of 22 parties of the Constituent Assembly that agreed to democratise the process of bringing ordinances. Meanwhile, Prime Minister’s chief secretary and a Maoist Central Committee member Shakti Basnet was shot at on Monday and is undergoing a treatment. It has not been clear who attacked him.
