Jolly Rovers, MBP post wins

VIJAYAWADA: Nuzvid’s Jolly Rovers defeated Spirit Guys by six wickets, while Makineni Basava Punniah Sr. XI beat Mighty XI by four wickets in the Krishna District Cricket Association ‘B’ division league for Devineni Venkataramana and Praneetha Memorial Trophy here on Tuesday.

The scores:

Spirit Guys 115 in 27.4 overs (Ramakrishna six for 21, Sandeep three for 15) lost to Jolly Rovers (Nuzvid) 119 for four in 19 overs (Srikanth 33 n.o.).

Mighty XI 194 in 44.1 overs (Akhil 48, Ravi three for 34) lost to MBP (Sr.) XI 195 for six in 31.5 overs (Jagadish 46, Hussain 41).

Eswar sparkles

Eswar (81) guided Adeolf XI to a 102-run victory over New Cricket Club in the Guntur District Cricket Association ‘A’ division league for Annamraju Rukmabai and Annamraju Lakshmi Narasimham Memorial Trophy at Guntur on Tuesday. In another match, GCC scored a four-wicket win over Khadir XI.

The scores:

Adelof XI 217 in 32 overs (Eswar 81, Nagi Reddy three for 10, Sridhar three for 30, Rajasekhar three for 21) bt New Cricket Club 115 in 28 overs (Raju three for 32).

Khadir XI 149 in 34 overs (Balaji 47, V. Ashok five for 26) bt GCC 150 for six in 32 overs (Yashodha 36).

Andhra team

The following players will represent Andhra senior team in the 3rd Aluminium Cup all-India hockey championship to be held at Kobra (Chhattisgarh) from February 11 to 15, according to Andhra Hockey Association secretary Niranjan Reddy on Tuesday.
