Vajpayee continues to be on ventilator

NEW DELHI: The former Prime Minister, Atal Bihari Vajpayee, continues to be on the mechanical ventilator though he is “showing improvement,” AIIMS Medical Superintendent D. K. Sharma said on Wednesday.

“A decision to take Mr. Vajpayee off the ventilator will be taken only after his condition improves further and doctors are satisfied with his progress,” Dr. Sharma said.

Mr. Vajpayee was admitted to the AIIMS last week.
