CBI officials conduct searches

CHENNAI: Officials of the Central Bureau of Investigation’s Anti-Corruption Branch conducted searches on the office and residential premises of a suspect in connection with a fraud case here on Thursday.

According to CBI sources, the State Bank of India (Virugambakkam Branch) had lodged a complaint about some malpractices that had caused wrongful loss to the bank. Besides a person, a bank official was also suspected to be involved in the fraud. — Special Correspondent
