THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala State Beverages Corporation (Bevco) has launched an SMS client service system here on Wednesday to redress the grievances of those visiting the corporation outlets as well as bar owners and companies. Consumers can send their complaints and suggestions for improving the service of the corporation through SMS to 9447297902. The complaints would be registered at the corporation head office and the complainant would be informed about the registration time. The complaint would then be forwarded to the officer concerned and the complainant would also be informed of the corrective steps taken by the corporation. The corporation, which runs 16 warehouses, 330 Indian-made foreign liquor (IMFL) outlets, has a daily turnover of Rs.12 crore. In addition to the 7 lakh persons frequenting the IMFL shops and its 330 outlets, the corporation is distributing stock to 500 bars and 46 IMFL outlets of the Consumerfed. In order to address the complaints of the huge clientele base, the corporation has devised the new client service system which was developed by a company based at Pappanamcode in the city.
