MADURAI: Brilliant Tutorials is conducting free counselling for All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) and All India Pre Medical Test (AIPMT) in Madurai. Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, its General Manager K. Ravi said that around 150 aspirants had participated in the sessions being held since January 25. They would be conducted till the month-end. The objective of the sessions was to familiarise the students with the syllabus, pattern, methodology and tips to succeed in these examinations. “Solved question papers of AIEEE-2008 and one-mark question booklet for the Tamil Nadu State Board Examinations-2009 are provided free to students,” he said. The students could call up the institute, fix an appointment and attend the sessions, which were being held on a daily basis. Similar sessions were held in Tiruchi, he said. While the slowdown in Information Technology sector was likely to have an impact in IT-related courses, Mr. Ravi said that interest in core sectors of electrical and electronics engineering (EEE), electronics and communication engineering (ECE), mechanical, and civil engineering was likely to increase. Further information about the counselling session can be obtained from P. Sivakumar, Assistant Area Manager, 198 Chandra Kanthi Nagar, Bypass Road, Madurai 625 016. Telephone Nos.: (0452) 435 1075 / 435 0915.
