Amit Lall who is on an all-India tour in Visakhapatnam on Thursday. VISAKHAPATNAM: After his mother had a narrow escape at the CST station in Mumbai on the fateful day of November 26 last year, Amit Lall took up the mission of driving across the country on his Hyundai Accent car to spread the message of peace and unity. He was in the city on Thursday as part of the all-India tour. “It’s important to preserve the social fabric of the country from all the disturbing elements threatening the democratic structure of India. The 26/11 incident should be an eye opener on many account and must help us to come together to make our country a safer place for the progeny. Through this mission, my aim is to motivate the youth in bringing reforms in the nation,” he said while interacting with the press at The Gateway Hotel. The mission is being supported by Waltair Round Table 92 and Vizag Round Table 77. His journey was flagged off by author and management guru Shiv Khera on January 26 from The Taj Mahal Hotel in Mumbai. Amit has so far covered the entire South coast and will be heading towards the east. He plans to cover 15,000 km in 45 days. He will visit parts of the Northeast, then head further north and cover border areas like the Wagah Border, Rajasthan and Delhi .
