Flash strike by oil tanker drivers

KARUR: Filling of petroleum products in contracted tanker lorries was disrupted for over two hours at the Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) receiving terminal at Attur near here on Thursday as 200 drivers went on a flash strike. Tanker Lorry Drivers Welfare Association sources said that they were irked over complaints regarding shortage in supplies through tankers. BPCL Manager Basheer Ahmed held talks with the agitating drivers and assured them of necessary action after which the drivers resumed operations.
