THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Communist Party of India (CPI) State secretary Veliyam Bhargavan has protested against the ‘neglect’ with which the Railway Budget has treated Kerala. In a press release here on Saturday, he said that no Railway Budget in the recent past had given Kerala such a raw deal. The State got no new train or track expansion project this time, although it had been presenting several proposals to the Centre since long time. Mr. Bhargavan said the ‘neglect’ in the Railway Budget was an extension of the prejudiced approach the Centre was adopting towards Kerala on all fronts.
