Double strike by Manish Nathani

NEW DELHI: A double strike by Manish Nathani helped last year’s runner-up Indian National to a 2-1 victory over defending champion New Delhi Heroes in a superleague match of the SAIL-ONGC DSA senior division football league at the Ambedkar Stadium here on Saturday.

Romeo reduced the margin, in the dying moments, as a face saving exercise for New Delhi Heroes which has 14 points from seven matches, the same as Indian National.

The other match between Royal Rangers and Shahdara Club ended goalless.

Rangers has eight points from seven matches, and Shahdara, three points from seven outings.
