TIRUCHI: Drinking water supply to the following areas of the City would remain suspended on Sunday owing to the inter-linking works to be taken up on the new pumping mains of the Golden Rock Combined Drinking Water Supply Scheme: Ariyamangalam, Melakalkandarkottai, Ponneripuram, Senthaneerpuram, Sangiliandapuram, Ponmalaipatti, Central Prison, Subramaniapuram, Airport, Sembattu, Kallukuzhi, Khaja Nagar, Khajamalai, Krishnamurthy Nagar, Tondaiman Nagar and Anbu Nagar. The pumping mains have been shifted owing to the widening of the Tiruchi-Chennai Bypass Road for the four-lane project. The inter-linking works would be completed on Sunday and regular supply would be restored from Monday, Corporation Commissioner T. T. Balsamy said in a Press release.
