This Day That Age
Members of the Congress Socialist Forum from various States met in New Delhi on February 14 for a two-day convention to consider ways and means of implementing the Nagpur resolutions of the Congress, particularly the resolution on land reforms and to discuss their approach to the Third Five-Year Plan. Mr. K.D. Malaviya, Union Minister for Oil and Mines, who presided, told the convention that the approach to agrarian problems which had been “unduly individualistic” so far, was sought to be changed by the Nagpur resolution into a “panchayat approach”. He characterised the controversy arising out of the resolution as “healthy.”
