Schemes sanctioned
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The government has sanctioned 36 more schemes, funded from the river management fund. Revenue Minister K. P. Rajendran said that those schemes would be carried out in Kottayam, Kannur and Palakkad at a cost of Rs. 9.06 crore. The Revenue Department was also drawing up larger programmes costing Rs. 150 crore. Mr. Rajendran said that writer M. T. Vasudevan Nair would inaugurate schemes already sanctioned in Ernakulam district. A symposium and other programmes would be organised in this connection. —Special Correspondent
