The UPA government has failed in achieving 33 per cent reservation to women in the Parliament and Legislative Assemblies. The current and final session of Parliament may at least enact legislation on free education facility to female students from the next academic year in all government, private, aided, unaided institutions. C.V.K. Mohan Varma, Begumpet Reconsider orderG.O. Ms No. 19 and 20, dated 27-01-09 states that teachers who have completed 50 years of age may be given exemption and be promoted to the post of head master of secondary schools. The Regional Joint Director of School Education has issued order promoting school assistant without issuing exemption from passing the requisite test. I request the government to reserve their orders and promote the teachers at one stage, restoring the seniority as issued by the DEO. Qari M.S. Khan, New Malakpet Reverse judgmentsPreviously High Court of AP and Supreme Court have given land mark judgments in the interest of people. Recently this trend has been changed and the AP High Court has allowed road shows. Similarly Supreme Court has stayed the Bombay High Court judgement on killing of street and rabid dogs and also release of life convicts who served more than 10 years. I request the courts to reverse these judgements in the interest of public at large. S.L.N. Murthy, Srinagar Colony
