Woman hospitalised, dies

CHENNAI: An old woman was found lying unconscious with blood oozing out of her ears at Nungambakkam on Monday. V. Chellammal (70) was taken to a hospital where she died soon after admission.

Investigation revealed that the victim had suffered a massive heart attack. Police said no external injuries were found on the body. The woman, a widow, was sleeping on the pavement in the Nungambakkam area. Her husband, who was a railway porter, died 10 years ago.
