May take the plunge into politics

HYDERABAD: Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy’s son Y. S. Jaganmohan Reddy may take the plunge into politics to fight what he calls his ‘trial by two Telugu dailies.’

Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy dropped enough hints to journalists about his intentions when he said there was need for youth to join politics but stopped short of making an announcement. He said he would reveal his decision in 10 days. “I am in a dilemma now, but wait for few more days, there will be clarity,” he remarked.

He said he was in two minds whether to join politics or concentrate on running Sakshi daily. “But during an editorial meeting with seniors on Thursday, everybody wanted me to contest the elections,” he said, adding that Kadapa parliamentary constituency was traditionally known to return one or the other member from his family.
