Special trains to Chennai

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Southern Railway will run bi-weekly special trains in the Chennai Central-Kollam-Chennai Central stretch and weekly special trains in the Chennai Central-Kochuveli-Chennai Central section between April 11 and June 25.

The 0645 Chennai Central-Kollam biweekly special will depart on Saturday and Monday at 8.30 p.m. to reach Kollam the next day at 11.30 a.m. The 0646 Kollam-Chennai Central bi-weekly special, in the return, will depart from Kollam on Sunday and Tuesday at 5.45 p.m. to reach Chennai Central the next day at 10 a.m.

According to the railways, the train will operate from Chennai Central on April 11, 13, 18, 20, 25, 27, May 2, 4, 11, 16, 18, 23, 25 and 30, June 1, 6, 8, 13, 15, 20 and 22. The train will ply from Kollam on April 12, 14, 19, 21, 26, 28, May 3, 5, 10, 12, 17, 19, 19, 24, 26, 31 and June 2, 7, 9, 14, 16, 21 and 23.

The 0647 Chennai Central-Kochuveli Weekly Special via Alappuzha will depart from Chennai Central on Wednesday at 11.30 p.m. to reach Kochuveli the next day at 4.20 p.m.

The 0648 Kochuveli-Chennai Central Weekly Special will depart from Kochuveli on Thursday at 8.15 p.m. to reach Chennai Central the next day at 12.20 noon.

The days of operation from Chennai Central will be on April 15, 22, 29, May 6, 13, 20, 27, June 3, 10, 17 and 24 and from Kochuveli on April 16, 23, 30, May 7, 14, 21, 28 and June 4, 11, 18 and 25.

The 0645/0646 will stop at Arakkonam, Katpadi, Salem, Erode, Coimbatore, Palakkad, Thrissur, Aluva, Ernakulam Town, Kottayam, Changanaserri, Thiruvalla, Chengannur, Mavelikara and Kayamkulam.

The 0647/0648 will stop at Arakkonam, Katpadi, Jolarpettai, Salme, Erode, Tiruppur, Podanur, Palakkad, Thrissur, Aluva, Ernakulam, Alappuzha, Kayamkulam and Kollam. The 0646 and 0648 will stop at Perambur also.
