Political innings for Azhar
The trademark silken and deft flick of the willow with the wrist will be missed. But, this time Hyderabadis will not complain. Former Indian cricket captain Azharuddin’s entry into politics may not be as dramatic as his batting or fielding was. However, cricket fans of the twin cities will definitely follow his new ‘innings’ in politics with a lot of interest.
The fact that Azhar may end up contesting Lok Sabha elections on behalf of the Congress from twin cities has evoked even more interest among cricket fans of Hyderabad. The second innings, after the life ban by BCCI in 2000, of Azharuddin surely will draw a lot of attention from one and all.
