VIJAYAWADA: In line with the Election Commission’s order transferring the government employees who have worked for more than three years at a place, the district administration has transferred 35 tahsildars to East Godavari and West Godavari districts. Almost an equal number - 36 tahsildars, precisely – will be joining duties in Krishna district on transfer from the two Godavari districts. Krishna district Collector N. Sridhar said on Thursday that arrangements had been made to immediately relieve the employees transferred from the district. The tahsildars have been asked to hand over the charge to their deputies and report for duty to the Collector of the district to which they have been transferred. Of the 35 tahsildars transferred from Krishna district, only two have been sent to West Godavari district while the remaining have been posted in East Godavari district. Similarly, of the 36 tahsildars who will be joining duties in Krishna district, 24 are coming from East Godavari district and the remaining 12 from West Godavari district. Vijayawada Urban mandal tahsildar Ch. Ramesh Babu is among those transferred to East Godavari district.
