Landmark day

Saturday would be a landmark day in the history of Visakhapatnam airport when airlines will commence their operations from the new integrated terminal building. But, what happens to the existing one, spread over an area of about 2400 sq mts? According to the Director of Visakhapatnam Airport, C.Pattabhi, it would be developed as an air cargo complex under Public Private Partnership. The new terminal building is scheduled to be inaugurated by the Union Minister for Civil Aviation, Praful Patel. Chief Minister, Y.S.Rajasekhara Reddy is also scheduled to participate in the inaugural function.
