HYDERABAD: Control costs and conserve cash is the new mantra being chanted by Chief Executive Officer of Satyam Computer Services A. S. Murty meaning that the staff should be ready for some personal sacrifices, temporary though.
All capital expenditure plans, including office renovations and buying new laptops, are suspended.
A slew of drastic austerity measures recommended by the taskforce within the company have been put in place, including suspension of business class air travel, use of cars for intra-city transportation, and hotel stays.
In a letter addressed to the employees on Thursday, Mr. Murty sought their cooperation.
