Aircel touches one-crore subscriber mark

Coimbatore: Aircel, cellular service provider, has achieved one-crore subscriber mark in Chennai and Tamil Nadu market.

Chief Operating Officer, Aircel, Gurdeep Singh says the one-crore subscriber mark is a testimony to our commitment to provide the best of mobile experience at affordable services to all.

Aircel is the fifth largest service provider with over 16 million subscribers across India. Aircel recently launched its services in Kerala thus ensuring presence in all the eleven circles.

The company will have a pan India presence in 23 circles by the end of 2009, he adds.

Network

Operations Director-South, Aircel, K.V.P. Baskar says Aircel currently has network in over 1,800 towns in Tamil Nadu and it plans to expend it to another 1,200 towns.
