WARANGAL: The B.R. Ambedkar Open University has decided to confer honorary doctorate on senior Congress leader of the district and former Minister T. Purushottam Rao. Mr. Rao was born in Konkapaka village of Parvathagiri mandal in 1937. He began his public life in 1959 as Gram Panchayat sarpanch. He was elected MLA of Wardhannapet in 1967 and 1972. He worked as AP Markfed Chairman in 1977 and was R&B Minister in 1993. -Staff Reporter
