Automatic weather station inaugurated
MACHILIPATNAM: T.G.K. Murthy, a scientist at ISRO, Bangalore, inaugurated an ‘automatic weather station’ at DMS SVH College of Engineering here on Friday.
Dr. Murthy said that the automatic weather station would be useful in tracking changes in climatic and weather conditions.
It would beam the data through satellite to the ISRO, Bangalore, where the data would be analysed.
This was the first automatic weather station in a private educational institution, though another one was recently installed on the premises of Yogi Vemana University, Kadapa.
