CHENNAI: Southern Railway will run special trains to clear the rush.
Mangalore – Chennai Central (superfast) Special: Train No.0636 Mangalore – Chennai Central Super fast Special will leave Mangalore at 4 p.m. on February 27 and arrive at Chennai Central at 8 a.m. the next day. It will stop at Kasaragod, Kanhangad, Payyanur, Cannanore, Tellicherry, Badagara, Quilandi, Calicut, Tirur, Kuttipuram, Shoranur, Palghat, Podanur, Tiruppur, Erode, Salem, Jolarpettai, Katpadi and Perambur.
Madurai – Chennai Egmore Special: Train No.0634 Madurai – Chennai Egmore Special will leave Madurai at 6 a.m. on February 26 and arrive Chennai Egmore at 4.15 a.m. the next day. It will stop at Kodaikanal Road, Dindigul, Tiruchi, Virudachalam, Villupuram, Tindivanam, Melmaruvathur, Chengalpattu, Tambaram and Mambalam.
