Look before you leap
1. Just to be sure, verify the source of your application.
2. Ensure that the application is supported for your mobile phone. This would save unnecessary data charges you would incur whilst downloading the application.
3. If you are downloading and installing an application that connects to the internet via GPRS, just make sure that the application is shut down before you put your phone back into your pocket. If you are on a plan that charges per kb of data, you might end up paying a ransom for your monthly mobile bill.
4. If you’re the person who likes to experiment with early release applications (alphas, betas), please feel free to do so. Developers would love to take feedback from actual users on how the application solves their needs. But do remember, an alpha or a beta release will be unstable. It might (will) crash and can cause data corruption. Do create a backup of your data before you embark on the adventure.
