Bangalore: The Festival of Kabir which begins on Monday in the city with a series of events and culminates with a central event between February 27 and March 1 has the support of over 15 donor organisations and collaborators. In a press release, the organisers of the festival have said that it is being organised by the Srishti School of Art, Design and Technology, with support from over 15 donors and collaborators. Significant and primary support for this event has come from the National Centre for Biological Sciences, South Asia Foundation and Hivos. The run-up to the central event involves film screenings, seminars and so on in communities across Bangalore. All events are open to the public except the musical performances between February 27 and March 1 at Sophia High School, Palace Road, for which one needs to collect free passes in advance. These passes will be available at the following points from February 23: K.C. Das, Church Street (25550168); Max Muller Bhavan, CMH Road (25205305); Pecos R&B, near Ramaiah Hospital; Lankesh Patrike Weekly, Basavangudi (26676427); Navakarnataka Publications, Kumara Park (22203580) and Prism: The Bookshop, Jayanagar (26637527).
