Lyngdoh warns of trouble in Rayalaseema

Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD: Former Chief Election Commissioner J.M. Lyngdoh has warned of trouble in the coming elections in Rayalaseema from where the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, several of his Cabinet colleagues and the Leader of the Opposition will be in the fray.

Addressing a meeting organised by an NGO ‘Election Watch’ here on Sunday, Mr. Lyngdoh expected Rayalaseema to be among the trouble spots in the country to go to the polls this time.

‘As bad as Bihar, U.P.’

The situation in the region could be as bad as in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, he said.

Mr. Lyngdoh said that bogus voters were another major challenge.
