Post-matric scholarships to children of policemen

ADILABAD: Adilabad Superintendent of Police Anil Kumar on Sunday gave away post-matric scholarships to meritorious students who are wards of serving policemen.
The scholarships in cash are given every year from the funds at the disposal of the Director General of Police as a measure of encouragement to the children of policemen. 42 meritorious students received the cash of Rs. 5,000, Rs. 4,000, Rs. 3,000 and Rs. 2,000 in tune with their performance in the SSC exams held last year.
The cash is given for the students to continue Intermediate education.
Interacting with the recipients of the scholarship, Mr. Anil Kumar exhorted them to do better in Intermediate and beyond to become achievers.
