Fire in insurance office

HYDERABAD: A major fire broke out in the office of an insurance company at Hydernagar in Kukatpally on Sunday morning.

However, no one was injured in the incident. A passer-by noticed thick smoke from the third-floor of a building around 5.20 a.m. and alerted the fire control room. Two fire tenders from Patancheru and Sanathnagar were rushed to the spot and extinguished flames within an hour. Computer accessories, furniture and other articles were damaged in the mishap.

Electrical short-circuit could be one of the reasons behind the incident, according to police.
