Yasin Malik Islamabad: Kashmiri separatist leader Yasin Malik tied the nuptial knot on Sunday with artist Mushaal Hussein Mullick in Rawalpindi, with the couple expressing the hope that the Kashmir issue would be amicably resolved as early as possible. Speaking to reporters soon after the ‘nikaah,’ the 42-year-old Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front chairman said he had prayed for an early and amicable resolution of the Kashmir issue as prayers offered on an auspicious occasion like a wedding were always accepted by God. Britain-born Pakistani Mushaal, a painter pursuing a bachelor’s degree at the London School of Economics, said the Kashmir issue was a “serious and noble cause” supported by every Pakistani. “I hope that the Kashmir issue is solved through non-violence. I’ll be very happy,” she said. Top leaders from PoK, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Lt. Gen. (retd.) Hamid Gul and presidential spokesman Farhatullah Babar attended the function.– PTI
