Rest room opened for prison warders

VELLORE: A rest room for prison warders was inaugurated by R. Duraisamy, Deputy Inspector-General of Prisons, Chennai at the Central Prison here on Saturday.

He inspected the prison workshops, the stocks of materials, records, and the stocks of weapons and bullets in the prison, as part of his half-yearly inspection. He then visited the prison staff quarters. He heard the grievances of prison warders and received petitions from them.
