Ochuko, Sebastian in good touch

KOCHI: Nigerian striker Jackson Victor Ochuko and Jack N. Sebastian scored three goals each as professional club Malabar United blanked India Gateway Terminal Pvt. Ltd. 8-0 in the Cochin Premier League football championship at the Maharaja’s Stadium here on Monday evening.

The 16-year-old Jackson, who was playing his second game for his new club, was in good touch and struck in the first, 63rd and 85th minutes while the consistent Jack Sebastian scored in the 21st, 25th and 90th minutes.

In between, Nigerian midfielder Ologun Isiah sent in two in the seventh and 51st minutes. This is Malabar United’s fourth consecutive win in the league.

There will be no match on Tuesday and on Wednesday, Malabar United plays its last match of the league phase, against Central Excise. — Principal Correspondent
