Burdwan: Two final year students, a native of Bihar, studying at a private Engineering College in Durgapur on Tuesday drowned in Damodar river at Randiha in the district, police said. Nearly five students of Bengal Engineering College (BEC), Durgapur had gone to Randiha to take bath in the river, they said. While taking bath, Rajiv Ranjan, a final year student of Information Technology and Anuj Kumar, a final year student of Electrical Engineering drowned in the river, the police added. Both of them were resident of Patna district of Bihar.
