Panchsheel in semifinals
NEW DELHI: Panchsheel defeated Greenhorns 7 goals to 3-1/2 in the quarterfinals of the DG RVS Cup polo tournament at the Army Equestrian Centre, Delhi Cantonment, on Tuesday.
Mahesh Sharma (2), Vijay Singh (2), S. S. Kashyap (2) and Jai Shergill scored the goals for the winner. Navjit Sandhu scored two goals for the loser which had started with a half-goal handicap advantage.
In another quarterfinal match, Warriors beat Army Polo and Riding Club (APRC) 6-3. N. S. Khera (3), R. K. Gautam and Sanjay Singh scored for Warriors that had started with a goal advantage on handicap. Rajesh Sahgal (2) and Zahan Kapoor scored the goals.
