Poor feeding marks Jayalalithaa’s birthday

cadres cELEBRATe: AIADMK leaders distributing sweets on the occasion of general secretary Jayalalithaa’s birthday at the party office in Chennai on Tuesday.

CHENNAI: Feeding of the poor, blood donation camps and distribution of assistance marked the 61st birthday of AIADMK general secretary Jayalalithaa on Tuesday.

At the party headquarters, presidium chairman E. Madhusoodhanan released the birthday souvenir, which was received by former Minister D. Jayakumar.

A blood donation camp was organised in North Chennai. Governor Surjit Singh Barnala, former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, former Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundara Raje, Samajwadi Party general secretary Amar Singh, former Union Minister Ravi Sankar Prasad, MDMK general secretary Vaiko, CPI(M) State secretary N. Varadarajan, CPI secretary D. Pandian and journalist Cho Ramaswamy were among those who greeted her.
