Geet Sethi and Kothari ousted

Mumbai: Rafat Habib lost to R. Girish on Monday evening and on Tuesday Geet Sethi and Saurav Kothari joined the loser’s camp in the Rs. 3.77 lakh Cricket Club of India (CCI) Platinum Jubilee Open snooker tournament. Kothari and Sethi made their exits in contrasting styles.

While Delhi’ Sundeep Gulati caused the biggest upset stunning the third seed Kothari by four frames to one, Rupesh Shah eked out a 4-3 victory over Sethi.

Meanwhile, Alok Kumar staged a remarkable recovery to get the better Girish, the match stretching to the seventh frame. Pankaj Advani sailed past Manav Panchal to enter the last eight.
