PUDUCHERRY: Collector cum Additional Secretary (Revenue) G. Ragesh Chandra said that as per the direction of the Supreme Court, amendments had been made to the Puducherry Hindu Marriage (Registration), Rules, 1969 making it compulsory to register all marriages under the provisions of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955. Those not registering or filing false declaration could invite punishment .
