Plea to retain Haj panel office

Staff Reporter

KOZHIKODE: The Malabar Haj Welfare Association, Kozhikode, has called upon the Kerala State Haj Committee and the State government to desist from going ahead with the reported move to shift the Haj committee office to Karipur.

In a statement here on Wednesday, the association general secretary said the Haj committee office being in Kozhikode was convenient enough for those coming from different parts of the State.

The association pointed out that the Haj committee office had been functioning from Kozhikode from the beginning.

Shifting the office to Karipur would cause undue inconveniences to pilgrims, it was noted.
