High Court ruling on autonomous colleges
Staff Reporter
BANGALORE: The Karnataka High Court on Wednesday said colleges or educational institutions granted autonomy by the University Grants Commission (UGC) need not pay registration, processing and eligibility fees to the university to which they are affiliated to but they must pay admission, sports, cultural, NSS and NEIGB fees.
The court partly allowed petitions challenging a notification by Bangalore University asking them to pay registration, processing and eligibility fees for students admitted in their institutions.
