Collector discusses preparations for conduct of public examinations

PERAMBALUR: About 12,225 students of Perambalur district would appear for the SSLC and Plus Two public examinations this year.
Speaking at a meeting of the Public Examinations Monitoring Committee here on Wednesday, Collector R. Sudalaikannan said Plus Two public examinations would be held in 15 centres in the district and 2,579 boys and 2,312 girls would take the examinations. SSLC examinations would be held in 23 centres in the district where 3,873 boys and 3,461 girls would appear.
Plus Two examinations commence on March 2 while the SSLC examinations begin from March 23. Matriculation examinations begin on March 18. Mr. Sudalaikannan said special flying squads, comprising officials of Education and Revenue Departments, would be formed to supervise the conduct of the examinations.
Superintendent of Police V. Vanitha, District Revenue Officer P. Shankar, Chief Educational Officer R. Malliga and other officials attended the meeting.
