Petition filed by former APSRTC Chairman Gone Prakash Rao ‘Nizamabad MP used his law firm in the U.S. to process visas’
HYDERABAD: A City Court on Thursday directed the Saifabad police to register a case against Congress MP from Nizamabad, Madhu Yaskhi, on a complaint that he had allegedly created false documents to send people to the United States. Passing the order in a petition filed by former APSRTC Chairman, Gone Prakash Rao, First Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Sharat directed the Saifabad police to register a case and prosecute the MP. The former MLA has a running feud with his party’s MP and even lodged a complaint with the Director General of Police against the latter. Mr. Prakash Rao was even manhandled by pro-Telangana students while he was addressing a press conference. According to the complaint, Mr. Madhu Yaskhi, his siblings Vivekananda Yaskhi, Amarjyothi Yaskhi and Sudhakar Yaskhi had managed to obtain forged documents to secure entry into the U.S. Mr. Rao alleged that Mr. Madhu Yaskhi and others had been creating, generating forged educational qualification certificates, travel documents and other related documents required for obtaining visa and securing permanent status such as Green Card, citizenship and highly-paid jobs in the U.S. He pointed out that Mr. Vivekananda and Ms. Amarjyothi had produced provisional certificates claiming to be engineering graduates from the Gulbarga University. The University Registrar, however, said in a letter to the government on January 14, 2008 that the provisional certificates were fake. Further, Mr. Sudhakar submitted a provisional certificate issued by the Kakatiya University, which was also found in the police inquiry to be fake. A subsequent inquiry by the DCP, Detective Department of the City Police, last year confirmed that all the three certificates were fake, Mr. Prakash Rao said. The petitioner argued that the trio entered the U.S. and secured employment using these fraudulent documents. He accused the Nizamabad MP of using his law firm in the U.S. – International Legal and Trade Consultants – to process visas for not only his family members but several other Indians with fake documents. Clear evidenceHe alleged that the City Police did not act on his complaint despite clear evidence to prove the involvement of Mr. Madhu Yaskhi and his family members in the alleged irregularities. Mr. Madhu Yaskhi could not be contacted for his comment.
