Welfare schemes reviewed

VILLUPURAM: Chief Secretary and Chairman of the Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board Balakrishnan held a review meeting on the implementation of various welfare schemes at the Collectorate here on Wednesday.

Collector R. Palanisamy and a host of officials were present. Mr. Balakrishnan appreciated the district administration for providing 100 days work to 10,000 families under the National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme.

While appreciating the officials who implemented the welfare schemes, he directed those who fell behind schedule to pick up momentum.
