Sri Lankan court releases 10 fishermen

RAMANATHAPURAM: A Sri Lankan court in Mannar on Thursday released 10 fishermen.

U. Arulanandam, Tamil Nadu’s representative of the Alliance for the Release of Innocent Fishermen (ARIF), said the fishermen hailing from Thangatchimadam were arrested by Sri Lankan Navy for straying into their country’s waters. The repatriation is likely to take place in a couple of days. — Special Correspondent
