New software on GIS launched

CUDDALORE: Collector Rajendra Ratnoo launched new software on Geographical Information System here on Wednesday.

The system was developed by the State Planning Commission and the National Informatics Centre. A statement from the Collectorate said that the pilot project was launched in Cuddalore and Nagapattinam districts.

The system would enable the officials to obtain data on the status of various schemes along with map of the places of their implementation.
