Directive given to booth-level agents

Staff Reporter

CHENNAI: Booth-level agents, appointed by political parties, have been asked not to collect forms, meant for inclusion of names in voter list, from the public.

Form 6

A release from the District Election Officer said they must not collect Form 6 from voters and submit it to the booth-level officers.

The agents can, instead, provide a list of names of eligible voters that have been left out or list out names of persons who are no longer eligible or there is a mismatch of photos in the list.

These lists can be submitted in the prescribed format to the booth-level officers in each area at a special camp to be organised on March 3.
