GUNTUR: The National Science Day was celebrated in G.V.R & S College of Engineering and Technology on Saturday to mark the discovery of Raman Effect by the great Indian scientist Sir C.V. Raman in 1928. Kochi-based National Physical and Oceanographic Lab Scientist P.G. Krishna Murthy delivered a lecture on “Glimpses of Defence Research and Development Organisation”. The college organised inter-departmental General, Technical Quiz, Group discussion and Photo exhibition on famous scientists and their contribution. College Chairman G. Venkateswara Rao, Principal M.Venkata Rao and heads of all departments - S.H.V. Prasada Rao, V. Malsoru, T.A.S.S. Santhi Sree, K. Srinivasa Rao, and G. Satyanarayana participated in the events.
