“The Opposition has no issues to counter the UPA achievements” PANIPAT: Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda asserted here over the weekend that the Congress would sweep the upcoming Lok Sabha polls by winning the maximum number of seats as the Opposition had no issues to counter the “achievements” of the United Progressive Alliance Government at the Centre. Addressing a well-attended meeting of Congress workers, Mr. Hooda said the party would win all the ten Lok Sabha seats from Haryana and the lone Chandigarh seat as well. ‘Opportunistic’While reiterating that his regime was not only committed to the welfare of all sections of society but also to transforming Haryana into the country’s number one state in terms of development, Mr. Hooda ridiculed the so-called alliance between the Indian National Lok Dal and the Bharatiya Janata Party by describing it as “opportunistic”. Addressing the workers, former Union Minister Venod Sharma praised the Central and State governments for ushering in rapid and integral development. He said the Opposition in Haryana had no issue whatsoever on which to criticise the performance of the Hooda Government. Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee president Phool Chand Mullana, Karnal MP Arvind Sharma and PCC working president Kuldip Sharma also addressed the party workers.
