Bodies of woman, son found in Koyambedu house
Special Correspondent
Special teams have been formed
CHENNAI: The decomposed bodies of a woman and her son were found in a house at Koyambedu on Saturday.
The police said R. Kamakshi (65) and R. Radhakrishnan (35) were residing in the house on 1st Main Road, in Ayyappan Nagar.
The house was not opened when domestic help and others turned up in the last two days. When a foul smell emanated from inside, neighbours alerted Kamakshi’s daughter R. Lakshmi residing at Tirumangalam.
When the front door was forced open, Kamakshi and Radhakrishnan were found lying dead in a pool of blood with stab injuries.
The bodies were shifted to the Kilpauk Medical College and Hospital for post-mortem.
Not for gain
“It is not a case of murder for gain as the jewellery worn by the victim was intact. Some jewellery kept in a safe was also untouched. Special teams have been formed to investigate the motive behind the murders,” Deputy Commissioner of Police (Anna Nagar) T.S.Anbu said.
