Workshop concludes

VISAKHAPATNAM: Some 100 fisherwomen were simultaneously imparting training at three places in the district for a week on how to dry fish under hygienic conditions.

The workshop held at Nakkapalli, Atchyutapuram and Thimmapuram by the District Fishermen Youth Welfare Federation with the support of NABARD concluded on Saturday.

The fisherwomen were taken to solar dry fish processing unit at Gangavaram and taught on hygienic process of fish, salting, curing and packing. NABARD Assistant General Manager C. Uday Bhaskar interacted with the fisherwomen on various aspects of drying the fish.
